Coloring tricks:
Glitter glue on fish scales sounds like a bad idea until you see the finished page taped proudly to the fridge.
A tiny bit of gray mixed into the water actually makes sharks look cooler. Kids somehow know this already.
Grab some coarse sea salt from the kitchen and sprinkle it over wet watercolor to get a really cool bubbly water effect.
