Our Team
That’s us: Albert, Sarah, and Jan.
Jan is our 5-year-old son, Sarah is my wife, and I’m Albert. I’m a graphic design graduate, so drawing and creating things have always been a pretty natural part of my life.
But Coloringsprinkles didn’t start with a business idea.
It started with Jan.
It Started With a Few Drawings
Jan loves to color. Like, really loves it. At some point, our house started filling up with drawings, crayons, coloring books, and little pieces of paper that were apparently far too important to throw away.
So one day I drew a few of his favorite characters for him.
Nothing fancy. Just some drawings I thought he’d enjoy coloring.
And he did.
Then something unexpected happened.
Some of those drawings made their way to the parents of Jan’s classmates.
Soon, the messages started arriving in the parents’ WhatsApp groups:
“Could you send me that drawing?”
“Does anyone have the PDF?”
“My son would love this one. Can you send it to me?”
And there were quite a few of them.
That’s when I thought, okay… maybe I should put all of these in one place.
So I did.
And that little idea became Coloringsprinkles.com
So, Who’s Actually Behind It?
Well, there are three of us.
I’m Albert. I’m the one who draws, creates, prepares pages, works on the website, and spends far too long deciding whether something looks better with a little more white space.
Sarah is my wife. She’s part of the process in more ways than she probably gets credit for, and she has a very useful talent: telling me when something works and when it really, really doesn’t.
And then there’s Jan. Our 5-year-old.
He’s also our most honest tester. If he likes a coloring page, you’ll know about it. If he doesn’t like it, you’ll know that even faster. There’s not much room for polite feedback when you’re five. And honestly, that’s useful.
From Our Home to Yours
What began with a few drawings for our son slowly turned into a much bigger collection of coloring pages.
And now those pages are being printed by parents and teachers in places we never imagined when I was drawing them at home.
That part still feels a little funny. A drawing that started with Jan sitting at the table with his crayons can end up on someone else’s kitchen table, classroom, fridge, or bedroom wall.
That’s pretty cool.
We know that when you come to a site like this, you probably have one simple goal. Find something your child will like. Print it. Put the crayons on the table. Done. So that’s what we want to make easy.
It’s Still a Family Project
Coloringsprinkles has grown a lot since those first few drawings, but the reason we started it hasn’t really changed.
We still create pages because we know what it’s like to have a child who wants something specific. Right now. Not tomorrow. Not after scrolling through twenty websites. Right now.
And yes, Jan still has plenty of opinions about what we should draw next. Some of them make it onto the website. Some of them… take a little longer.
We’re Just Getting Started
There are lots of things we’d like to add to Coloringsprinkles over time.
More coloring pages. More ideas. More ways to use them. More things that make it easier for you to find something your kids will actually want to color.
But we don’t want to make things complicated.
At the heart of it, we still like the simple idea that started everything: Find a page you like. Print it. Color it. And enjoy the moment.
Have an Idea for Us?
We’d love to hear from you.
