Coloring tricks and fun facts about carrots
Coloring tricks:
Add thin lines across the carrot with a slightly darker color, it makes the texture pop.
Use two shades of orange, darker at the top, lighter toward the tip, it gives it a bit of depth.
Draw a little dirt around the bottom, just quick brown scribbles, and it feels more real.
Fun facts:
They were actually purple and yellow originally before farmers figured out how to grow the bright orange ones we all buy at the store today.
The longest one ever recorded grew to be over twenty feet long which sounds absolutely terrifying to pull out of the dirt.
Eating way too many of them over a few weeks will literally turn your skin slightly orange and yellow.
There are simple pages for toddlers and a few more detailed ones for older kids working on fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
